WHY CHOOSE IAODT?

  • Our Focus on Practical Application & Affordability

While theory is important, it holds very little weight in rooms full of executives who expect results. Everything we offer is practical, easy to understand and has been road tested over and over in real organizations. You learn how to do the work not simply how to talk about it. There are few organizational design and transformation courses and certificates worldwide that are taught by non-academics and they range from $5000-9000. We are dedicated to making our courses affordable so that more people can learn to apply the craft like masters

  • Our Teachers Are Experts in Doing the Work

Organizational design & transformation as a field of study has lived primarily in the halls of academia and poorly translated into practice in organizations. At IAODT, you are taught by people who have actually done the work and performed it successfully in organizations. Many people can talk about it, fewer can say they've done it and how. We have also included learning and applied practice on self-care and development which is essential to staying the course and being the container and transformer for difficult redesigns and transformations. Our Lead instructor and founder Kelley Rainwater has trained hundreds of people over the last 10 years and additional instructors combined have trained and coached thousands.

  • Our Commitment to Your Mastery & Support

Our offerings focus on you becoming a master of the craft of organizational design and transformation. Mastery means you can handle most any situation or issue that arises during transformation. You have the inner resources and self awareness to push through the rough patches while instilling confidence in others that you know what you are doing. We also help you find peers, candidates for recruiting and mentors in our online LinkedIn community at https://www.linkedin.com/groups/12236902

Our Happy Clients

“I would like to give a HUGE "Thanks" to Kelley Rainwater for giving me the opportunity to go through her certificate course in organization design offered through the Institute of Applied Organization Design and Transformation. Kelley's experience and expertise truly showed in her teachings and I walked away with pricless knowledge and competencies in Org Design and Transformation. Her course takes you far beyond the academic walls and into reality. Her vast web of networking landed me my first position leading an Org. Design and Transformation position with the Center of Mindful Self Compassion. That experience has ultimately landed me the exact job I had wanted with Wipro as an Org. Change Management Consultant. I now look foward to helping Wipro grow revenue as I utilize my Org Design and Transformation competencies with current clients.”

“Big thanks to Kelley Rainwater!! She is a true industry leader and bonafide subject matter expert on Organization Design and Transformation. Her course and certification program through the Institute of Applied Organization Design and Transformation allowed us, as a small cohort, to learn directly from the best and tap into her vast knowledge and expertise. I felt privileged to hear her simulated case studies that gave us insights into how to apply our learnings for our own organizations and clients. We’re now far more equipped to help build better businesses that are structured for success. Between the group sessions and one-on-one guidance Kelley provided, she was truly generous with her time. Thank you, Kelley, for the opportunity to learn from you while you’re still ‘in the game’. 😊”

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Organizational design will no longer be a lines and boxes exercise. Executives will take on redesigns every 2-3 years for the foreseeable future, some being in a constant state of adaption and redesign due to growth and changes in technology. There is not enough skilled talent to support these efforts in being successful. It will be something that anyone can learn and practically apply. It will no longer be something that only top tier consulting firms mysteriously "do" to organizations closed in a room with a few executives and hand off a 200 page document with an operating model and design that cannot be implemented. The truth has been that most redesigns fail. Some barely even start.

Organizational Design done well leaves transformation in its wake. It's a third science, a third art and the other third is emergent magic that no one can predict. Organizational Design changes the way work gets done by people. It is NOT reorganizing deck chairs on a ship. Design is constantly adapting and never static and cultures of organizations should be built to support agility.

The consultant or leader of the change is the transformer and must prepare him/herself to be the container and igniter for change in the organization. This requires great self awareness, energy, personal development and courage.

Organizational Design is a skill that every executive must know well enough to know how to hire the best to guide them. It is a skill that consultants must master and that HR business partners must learn to identify, be able to explain it's value to leaders, and help transition workforces through significant changes in the way work gets done.
